Hi guys,

I was wondering if I could get some assistance or help on figuring out what God has planned for me. I know this is an odd question but I feel I have a calling in life to warn people of something but I don't know what I'm called to do for the Church. That's why I need some advice.

I am a very strong 15-year-old Catholic teenager and I know there are lots of other people my age who are similarly perplexed. I've tried EWTN.com. They don't have a spirituality category open so I thought I would look here.

If you could please help me to figure out how to start my journey, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Phillip

John replied:

Hi, Phillip —

Thank you for your question and thank-you for wanting to be so obedient to God's call.

The first place to start is prayer. It sounds like you already have a strong prayer life, but sometimes we get into routines. We pray our favorite devotions but we don't spend any time listening. I'd recommend spending some quiet time before the Blessed Sacrament and just listen for God's Voice.

You don't have to ask Him any questions. Just sit, be still, and let Him say what He wants to say to you. Beyond that, you're not too young to ask a priest for spiritual direction.

Find a pastor or priest that you feel comfortable talking with. If you don't know one and you tell us the city you live in, we can do some research and help you find some one to assist you.

John
