My daughter is twenty years old, single, and pregnant. She has gone to Confession and was told that she can now receive Holy Communion at Mass by the priest that heard her Confession.
The priest has also counseled both her and her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend does live in our home because we are helping him with college and work but they do not sleep in the same room. Although their act of sex was not in our home our current priest will not let her receive Communion at Mass until she gets married.

Dear Angie,

At first glance, it looks like your current priest might be thinking that your daughter is living in sin with her boyfriend within your home.

It might be a good time to clarify and explain this situation to him.

If your daughter went to sacramental Confession with a genuine resolve to not commit this sin again, then it seems there would be no problem with her receiving Holy Communion.
