Hi, guys —

I am very dedicated to my Catholic faith, but have severe claustrophobia so find it a great challenge to attend Mass.

  • Do you have any suggestions?

Paul replied:

Dear M.M. —

Off the top of my head I offer two suggestions:

  1. Counseling (and/or) appropriate temporary medication, if it is needed.
  2. Find a church that is very spacious so that you can feel at peace in the environment.

And of course, in all things, pray.

Paul

Dear M.M. —

We actually answered an identical question before:

How can I remain a faithful Catholic while suffering with panic disorder and agoraphobia?

M.M. replied:

Hi, Mary Ann —

Yes, I did find this posting and it was very helpful.

Thank you!
